Mysterious Niqabi - Battleground

Having made a more official design to the character, I wanted to introduce the mysterious niqabi as someone who could and did fight in the battle of hogwarts. While (from the movie at least) everyone who fought in the battle had adrenaline rushed expressions on their face, I wanted the Niqabi character to look calm and focused. The reason for this is because she knows she has an ace up her sleeve (the Ayatul Kursee, see "The mysterious Niqabi" page for more details).

One might ask why she would resort to using her wand if she has such a magic nullifying weapon. My answer is that not everyone was using magic in the battle, there were giants and spiders and all sorts of other creatures, which relied on their natural brawn to kill anyone in their way.

As you will see below, I did play around with the hue of the light of the spell she is casting. I tried a blue-ish white to indicate a patronus charm but I felt I wanted the colours in this painting to have a wider range and so looked towards green. Now every potter head would know that green means the killing curse, and while it did intrigue me, I didn't want her to look like the bad guy, and wanted to contrast her from the death eater in the background.

Hence I stuck with red. A familiar colour used by Harry Potter against voldamort. Something that was missing from the original painting that I did was the dementors, so this time I made sure to put them in the background.
